I don’t work in sales but I know my shit. If someone asked you to “sell this pen” you should never start the conversation using the word “pen”. That is the automatic turn off. You have 1 second to figure out who you’re actually talking to. Is this person a millionaire? Is this person homeless? Who the fuck are you talking to. This is about status.

Hypothetically say you’re talking to a professional millionaire…use that. Play that card. Do not talk about the pen till the very end. Be a people person by making it personal. Read who you are talking to. Take the pen, put it on the table, and ask, “Do you like being successful?”. What is this person going to say? Fuck yes they like being successful. Proceed to the next question on why. Let this millionaire think since they’ve been around the block and need something fresh. I won’t write out a full script for you because that’s your job.
Find a way to end the conversation with how they can become more successful. Creating a roadmap! Visualizing and writing it down. They could become a billionaire, all they need is a roadmap and discipline. How do you build a roadmap to become more powerful than life itself? – by using this damn pen on the table.
